The latest preview release of Slim Control. I am not actively developing this Dashboard widget any longer but if you would like, feel free to use the source code and improve it.
Rquierements:
- Mac OS 10.4 (on the client computer)
- SlimServer 6.0 or higher (any platform)
- At least one Slimdevices Squeezebox player (Softsqueeze probably also works)
Installation:
- Download SlimControl_XML.zip and install it in your SlimServer HTML folder. Probably a SlimControl folder already exists. Replace it with the new version. Make sure the SlimServer can access these files.
- Download SlimControl 0.2a.wdgt.zip and place it in your Widgets folder.
- Launch the widget. The widget should automatically switch to the preferences side. Enter the address and port number of your SlimServer. Click on ‘Check’. If the Widget has been able to connect to your server, you will now see a list of your players.
- Depending on your settings you will probably need the cauth code of your SlimServer. You can read more about it in the documentation (open /html/docs/http.html on your SlimServer). Without the cauth code changing the volume and all of the controls will probably not work.
Known issues:
- Display of Internet Radio streams does not work. Do not use the Widget when you are listening to Internet Radio.
- Error handling could be better.
